Ah thanks! Best is the Mute Voice feature which is not in other SID players (anymore)! Could it be possible to insert a 4th voice in the Oscilloscope for sample tunes? My Linko uses 5 voices (/MUSICIANS/W/Wijnhoven_Joachim/Linko.sid). Would be cool if you could listen to sample tracks separate. Later! |

Oh I now see the samples can be seen at the bottom but can they be muted? And is a STIL option a good idea? |

Hi Yogibear,
A STIL feature already has been implemented and
can be watched by opening the context menu in the HVSC view
or the favorites view.
Muting the samples is not that easy, since samples are (mostly) frequent changes of the volume register.
Btw,
It seems i missed to test different languages.
I was able to fix the bugs concerning the english version (StackTrace)
and it seems you discovered a bug in the swixml.jar library, that i workaround, now.
Languages other that english or german defaults to english, now.
I updated the player version at sourceforge. The download name has not being changed (it is still 2.5),
but only the folder is called 2.5.1 by now.

Just to inform you.
Due to bandwidth problems jsidplay2 has moved to a different web site.

In some newer version it seems you changed something in the jnlp file, so I get always this error:

Isn't there just a simple way, where I run a downloaded jar file?
btw: This launch via jnlp webstarter seems to fail on every system I tried here. |

Sorry, i missed that post. Just to print a short
advice here:
It is helpful to totally clean the java cache sometimes as follows:
Go to the control panel and double click on Java.
On the general page click on settings...
and remove temporary files here.
Optionally,
if your local settings are broken, it is good to remove
.jsidplay2 directory in your home folder
and the JSIDPLAY2.* database in the home folder, too.
If you now restart jsidplay2 (e.g. by a click on the jnlp) it is guaranteed to be completely new and downloaded from scratch.
Best regards,
Ken
