"Hardware" credit type is missing
We have a release type "Hardware", so we can create db entries for hardware created by a scener. But what kind of credit type do we use for that person? None of the existing ones seems fitting. Please add a "Hardware" credit type :) |

Sure, but those fit to "making hardware" in pretty much the same they fit to "making software" - which is why we use them for something else normally. |

So, what would be a hardware credit type?
'Hardware' in itself is not much of a credit, so I'm with Hedning: design will do. And yes, design in demos is something different, but what's bad about that?
Or do you want 'soldering' as a credit choice? |

The Problem is more obvious when the entry contains related Hardware, Software, and possibly a Manual. Now what does "Design" mean in this context? What did the guy credited with "Design" do? To me it'd make sense to rename the existing "Design" type to "Design (visual)" and then add something like "Hardware design". Because really, those two things have very little in common.
Edit: it also becomes obvious when searching. You dont want the two things mangled together when searching for "Design". |
