Sceners with the same name!
Hello!
Im Icon from Remember. I have some real problems here to registrate as Icon/Vision allready has taken my name, witch his in title to ofcoz as both our alias is "Icon". I have then tried to do a compromize as "_icon" or "icon!" without any luck. I simply doesnt show up the search db.

It was annoying for some people in different groups. I remember noticing a message, about a certain group called 'Collision', and another group had also pinched 'Collision's' name, therefore the name had to be changed to 'Collusion'.
Some groups or people probably done this, because they probably didn't even know that Collision had already existed. |

Maybe it's possible to slightly modify the "Users Online" tab on the right. If you make it show up "Handle/Group" you could more easily associate the registration name with the database entry. Perff? |

Yes, its not SO fun to have to be called Icon(axelf), instead of just Icon. Oh, well. Axel f. was my first handle when I was in TSL, so it kindof works here...

Erm, sorry...but the database allows for multiple sceners with the same handle. You're AFAIK only limited in choosing your login name... So why complain? Change the DB entry to the handle you want! :-) |

Hello.
It's a good thing I have a unique handle. I don't have to worry about this kind of naming confusion. :) Now, if someone were to come along and ape my handle, he/she is for in a world of pain. :)

@Icon: You're not Icon / Vision????????????? So we did not swap app. 10 years ago and been in the same group? that's what I had thought. :(

Nope! Sorry, but I dont think we ever swapped, coz I quit the scene about 89 and just returned last year when I joined Remember! So thats goes the theory that we have boing in the same group aswell. ;-) |
