Credits to releases.

Maybe adding a "organised by" to the credits-list of the releases would be nice, like unknown diskmag organised by unknown scener1 and unknown scener2...

...and organisers of diskmags are typically called editors

Editors are not neccessarilly organising the mag!!! Someone who puts the whole mag together to one readable thing (and who makes sure that everybody comes up with the articles), so it can be released : that's what I mean with organising the mag! Well, I think that "organising" is a nice credit for those who put the final point on a diskmag, it makes this database more complete.

Generally, even in the print media, it is the editor that pulls everything together and ogranises things. Shout was an example of editor-in-chief or something. If was was working hard on a diskmag writing lots of text, I would not want to answer to someone that does not do anything productive. Can you think of an example where the editors don't organise it? Just use production notes etc.

Not every editor pulls things together!!! In some diskmags are more than one editor and only one/two of them are organising the whole thing. In some cases, only the coder organises the whole thing without editing anything (are almost anything).
But I don't care if you don't like to put organising as a credit. But think about this : how many other credits can be deleted from the list if we are discussing it like this?
I thought that all facts were interesting for this database...? Isn't it the meaning of having a so complete as possible database? If not, then I am at the wrong place here... I think all kind of credits and other aspects of the c64-scene can be put in this database.

By the way, the "organising"-credit can also be used as credit for a demo! Why thinking only about diskmags...?

Still - just use production notes section until there is an option for it. Or you could just write some script that periodically reposts your question.

of course, adding "Organisation of this diskmag by Commander/Role." as Production Info for everything someone remotely touched is a good way to get attention, too ;)

Well,
I have been editor for our diskmag 'Internal - the next generation' for quite some years. Editing a magazine doesn't mean you're actually organizing the mag aswell. We had plenty of qualified members who took care of that.

Or do I miss the point?
I'm stoned anyway ;)

Although Serge,
credits for organising a discmagazine would be a bit too much of it don't you think? The coders mostly take care of this.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
