design rating
It seems design/overall feel of demos has become an important part of recent demos and i want to give props to people/groups who deserve it, but i don't think i get to vote for stuff like that? |

not a bad idea, but I'm against it, as then we could have a music/gfx/code/etc section aswell. Do we want to vote for every little detail in demos ? Nothing stops you from putting in your design rating into your vote. |

I wouldn't mind voting even for the pubic hair styles of megaswappers from Poland, as long as the voting system here works properly. Which doesn't. So I don't see the point. |

i guess it's allright to leave your desired vote and leave a fitting comment in the user comments field.
if an extra design rating would turn up, i'd be all for musick rating as well, as that part seems to get the least attention lately (i might be wrong, but following comments about alot of the later demos, i notice that people hardly mention that).
and that being done, people would want to rate scrollers as well. i guess that's a no go at best. =) |

I'd say the "vote" already incorporates your general feel of a demo, so the design bit is already in it. If you want to go into specifics of that overall feel, either post it in a comment, or write a review where you can disassemble the demo completely and do something like
Graphics: ??%
Diskcover: ??%
Music: ??%
Code: ??%
Design: ??%
Overall: ??% (not an average)
at the end. |
