Giving credits?

It's a pity that I have to write about this, but it really is going on my nerves how some people give credits here!

I mean, if somebody helps you with serious bugfixing he deserves being credited for that. But if one and the same person wants to have credit for code, linking, bug-fix, ntsc-fix, pal-fix... this is simply stupid!

Same with an average standard demo and there are credits for idea, design and concept. Excuse me?

Please, be reasonable...

Some people need it to make them seem to have done more. I guess some are like me and like the ego trip :)

Well, some people are actually silly enough to do it all. :)

I think I'll add 'scrolltextwriter' to all demos I did that for this afternoon. First up: El Dorado/Origo.

Ah, good point TDJ. I should add that to my Digital Magic credits as well. :)

I vote for the following new credits: "from c64 floppy transferrer", "to d64 converter", "text-note writer", "winzip'er", "ftp-uploader", "release on c64.sk announcer", "screenshot maker" and "CSDb entry creator" =)

And how about those guys that you take on a trip to an event with you, just so you can make the costs go down?

well, that's not really release credits, but "driver" could be a nice addition to the scener-functions list definately =)

but how about "entry at party submitter" as yet another release credit? =)

I'd suggest "stamplicker" then, so honk/plush can reveal his true function within the group ;)

well.. there's a whole lot more scener-functions I could think of, given "...licker" as a clue, but I guess that goes too far ;)

Now, as we are just at it: "Party Pussy" is really missing, no?

Credits go to my Mum and to God. *drop tears*
NO! JUST KIDDING!

How did you call the people who gave you fresh 5.25 Disks (without them the Demo would not got finished) ?

Credits go to who credits are due, no matter what they did
"thanks to the Microsoft for not infecting my C64 with Virii"

This Discussion reminds me of "unlayed eggs", but: once the demo[1] nears completion, you will know who you have to give credits.

Zed Yago/K2

PS: And don't forget to greet the Byterapers and 1001crew!

I like that last one, esp. considering that I've performed just such a task for House Designs at the party 1994.
