How do I set up a competition
This is a stupid question I know, but how do I set up a competition?
Is this done by adding a new event?
Also once a competition is up, how do I go about organising voting and displaying results? |

It is up to you how you organize voting. Voting on CSDb is not perfect but I guess it is the best accepted way to do it, even it is open to manipulation. I will stay with it for possible upcoming compos, because people are just too lazy to vote another way. :P
You should define some rules about what to create and limitations. Be prepared for people trying to probe the limitations if you set some. ;) |

Thanks for the quick reply, but my main question is do I just set that up as an event and then how do I display the entrants and results or is that all automated once an event is set up? |

Userpage > Add Event
Nothing is automated. You deal with everything yourself after you added an event. |

Well, you set up the event on CSDb.
Users add their entries (releases) on CSDb and link them with the event ("released at").
Then you let vote - however you want - and then you can add the rankings. |
