How to document the act of preserving diskettes
Let's say that game G was created by group A in 1992.
Those diskettes were thought to be lost.
But group B finds them in 2016 and backup them up.
For example, in that case I want to say that:
Game G: released by group A in 1992
But somehow I want to document that group B preserved them in 2016.
Is there an official way to document the act of "preservation" ? In there an attribute or field for that ?
Thanks! |

I'd put that in a user comment. Have seen that with references to the person who provided the disks (or tapes) where the specific release was found on. |

Yeah. User comment is the way to go. |

i think this is the point where you use dirmaster to put your name into the disk header and produce a broken d64 in the process =P |

So in essence, this thread can be seen as a kind of documentation of how to document the act of preservation (or "documentation" if you will)! |
