In what format should I upload releases?

When I upload a release to CSDb, what is the prefered format? If it's just a singlefile crack/demo it seems more logical to just upload the PRG, but then I have to rip apart spread disks.

But if I upload the whole D64, it's possible that there's other stuff on the disk too, so when you autostart the D64 you will get something else than expected.

What's the best way?

Yes, but it seems my system is on the fritz or something, because it used to work fine. No biggy, I need to reinstall XP soon anyway.

I don't see the problem, I use VICE 1.22 and it's loading
the .t64 files without any problems with autostart...

I know, the problem is my pc, not Winvice. Still: no .t64s from now on, mmmkay?

TDJ, assuming you are using a pc with dutch windows:

rightclick a .t64 file -> eigenschappen

in tabblad 'algemeen' you'll see 'openen met'

If it's not associated with any program you'll see 'onbekende toepassing'

T64 might be associated with another program or even with a previous version of vice your computer cant find because it's not there, or filename changed, or whatever.

Hit 'wijzigen' and re-asign it to your current version of winvice.

that might actually help ;)

*edit* if that doesn't work, assign .t64 to for instance notepad or kladblok it's called in dutch (sigh.. hehe), double click a .t64 -> should open in notepad. Then re-assign it again to your version of vice. I had the same unexplainable bug with another piece of software once and managed to 'reset' it like that.

Your first option I already tried ofcourse, but I'll check out the other one. Like I said: it's very strange because the first option did work for .d64 & .prg :Z

Edit: okay, it works now, you people have my permission to use the .t64 format as well.

some adobe acrobat readers also like to register d64s to be opened with them. then complain about unknown file format.

GOD I HATE PDFS!!!!! *unarticulated screams*

Why not just drag'n'drop the files onto Vice?
