Codebase64 can you help?
Dear all,
As you have probably noticed already, sometimes it just doesn't work to edit or create new pages on codebase. In short, I don't know what causes the problem and I have very little time to spend on digging deep into the issue. It could be something with the dokuwiki installation that got messed up over time (not unlikely) and it could be something with the server config (has happened in the past) and maybe a bit of both.
If you're experienced with dokuwiki and interested in doing a service to the C64 coder community, send me a PM on here. I won't automatically let everyone who contacts me into the server though, but will have to select people that I know sufficiently well to know that they won't cause some sort of trouble. So don't be offended if I simply say no, even though you may actually be very skilled, trustworthy, and generally appropriate etc.

In the meantime I might add that I *am* looking into this, at least a bit, so with some luck no help will be needed after all. In any case it would still be good to know if there are some interest in helping out with codebase or not. |

How much (gigs) of data is on your server ?
Doesn't appear to be "that" much, at least on the wiki.
Why not just re-install everything, including the o.s. ?
Is it a dedicated p.c / linux box / ....... c64 machine ? ;)
If it's (possibly / doubtfully) even a hardware issue, a replacement machine can be had for ~$100.
Correct me if I'm wrong, it doesn't seem to be a high bandwidth / used site? |

its probably more of a time issue than technical problems :) |

It is indeed more of a time issue. In any case, I finally spent some time today looking into it to find out a little more about the nature of the problem which eventually lead to Moloch looking into the server config. Hopefully it will be solved shortly. |

I'd volunteer to look into this whenever you want to. Dokuwiki is no arcane magic really. |

Yes. I hope Moloch will be able to look into the mod_security config within a month or so. Otherwise I guess moving the whole thing to another server might be an easier "fix". |

Migrate to Confluence? It would have to be a paid option I guess but the system is superior. Ooops. Did I just start a flame war? O_o |

Its an issue with time and not anything technical as Groepaz already said.
The best option right now, as I've already said with Frantic, is moving to another provider.
@mstram - Codebase64 eats through roughly 16-20gb of bandwidth monthly |
