Yes, we'd rather do things more conscientiously. In other words: It's about Commodore because (AFAIK) it's populated by only Commodore users, programmers, hackers, et al, new and old, and not by any and every n00b out there on the Inet about god-knows-what.
While the Future moves ever on, with it's share of changes/advancements, the global Commodore-user community (i.e., virtual users-group) carries on.
You can go there and join, or not if you don't wish to. It's just very recently been formed (just over 25 members, currently), and now you know, so tell other Commodore users on the Inet, if you'd like to help spread the word.

a terrible trainwreck of a discussion on lemon (which infact made me leave lemon alltogether, not that it should matter to anyone)
and seeing how this google+ group brings nothing new over the various resources we already have, and is messy already with the little info that has been posted.... oh well. no thanks :) |

Gosh, I wouldn't know, whatwith me quitting Lemon 64 years ago. But IIRC, a LOT of their "discussions" are trainwrecks anyway. Who cares about Lemon 64! It's Commodore and its legacy that I care about!

Centralization and consolidation is the idea, a sort of all-in-one, all things Commodore in a communications hub on the Web (albeit not necessarily the only such place).
I'm giving it a go, myself hehehehehe You can too, if you wanna. |

Still, G+? C'mon ... I'd be more than surprised if G+ lives to see the end of 2016. |

i dont see why, it doesnt offer anything new, and its messy like hell. and even the discussion about that very site on lemon is a trainwreck, mostly because of the hilarious arguments of its creator =) |

What a waste of time... :)
You can't drive the C= community from NTSC land anyway. :)
And also not with real names and people's real identities.
Maybe I should read the Chit Chat section of lemon more often, I completely missed this. |

If your only real reason for creating an offshoot community is a desire to have a forum in which you can silence your own critics... |

No. Gee, that's very cynical. And I didn't create it. See the top-most post if you're interested in the details.
Quoting Mr. SIDAnd also not with real names and people's real identities.
Well yeah, we know that, but there's all kinds there, I guess. What do I care if some other user is giving out their damned real name!
Maybe we should tell them...? ??? |

Quoting WinstonSmith6079No. Gee, that's very cynical.
No, it's just an observation. After you've been to a few dozen goat-fucks, you don't need to attend every subsequent goat-fuck to understand what they're about, why they happen, and what the inevitable result will be.
You all seem like perfectly nice (though somewhat melodramatic) folks, but appear to lack a full understanding of the culture of the community you seek to represent.
Good luck with your community, but me & mine are happy right here on our porch. |

Ah, I see. And I think I know what you mean.
Thank you very much, I'll keep that in mind.
By the way, I found this very cool picture.
What do you think? |

Quoting WinstonSmith6079Ah, I see. And I think I know what you mean.
10 A bunch of people who (for generally obvious reason) aren't popular in the current community decide that the community is unfair/censored/elitist/whatever.
20 Said malcontents decide they're being oppressed. They storm off to form a new community that THEY can moderate. Anyone who doesn't want to join in this nonsense must be an "elitist".
30 They predictably stifle/exclude/heckle anyone who doesn't agree with them or isn't in their little clique.
