Where to buy DTV ?

I remember I saw small note on some of the pages I visit regulary: csdb, xeo3 blog, lemon or somewhere else about cheap dtv. Now I can not find that page again :(

So: Where is dtv cheapest?

1. "In Germany you can buy it at every Media Markt." - Ok. Im not in Germany. I looked their website and there is no "search" field or something like that ??? I want to order it over net, so I need some store like amazon wich can send it to me via mail.

2. "electroworld in hungary ;)" - Well in fact hungary is in my neighbourhood, so I could get it that way, but I have to be sure before I go on a 500km round trip to Budapest :)

@Style: Well.... If you would dig a hole deep enough under your living room, you would eventually come around here somewhere :) Im in Europe, Serbia... I did get some mail and packages from Au earlier but dont know how much was postage..

Nice to hear your offer :) it does seem like an overkill, there has to be something closer I guess...

Might try a few others around town.

I'm looking for one in Brisbane, wondering what location yours was purchased from stingray?

also have you had any luck Style, because I hope the sending back these isn't going to become a trend for all Target stores... :(

Old post, but current question for me, so instead of opening a new thread i'll post my question here.

I need to find v3 models, cheap prefferably of course, but I can't seem to find them. Any suggestions?

Well actually I bought recently 13 pieces of the V1 model not knowing there is a v2 and v3 model.

I can find pal models in a few places, but i specificly want to get a bunch of V3's to mod them.

I will be making a batch of modded c64 dtv's soon, 6 pieces still unspoken for, so if you want to buy one pm/email me ;)

Stryyker: You can pick them up in Target or KMart here. When Macx was staying here, we picked up one secondhand for $2AU :))

Well, have the DTV-possibilities really been explored soundwise? I don't think so. I believe you could make a samplereplayer which could make multichannel tracking possible - like Polly Tracker V1.2 PLUS (Digimax Support) but with clearer sound, better mixing and more channels.

I'm just speculating about what you can do with this piece of hardware, but it's clear that you could use most aspects of the C-64 sound save for the filter. Add a lot of usable memory for samples, a 32 mhz ASIC processor and the option to handle 8 bit samples... Well. You could surely do something which matches THX on it? Right?

Yep, soft chip sounds a la THX should be doable, and would let you play lots of wonderful new sounds.

2 * clean 8-bit output is easily possible + you have 2Mb memory.
Making a player that precalculates sounds to some extent is certainly possible.
Think analogue modelled 808-ish drums for example.
