part of IK+ is cover of ??
I heard yesterday from radio song which was very similar (Im 100% sure it was the same) to Hubbards IK+ part which starts at 06:07
Does anyone has idea what song it is? It sounded like some 70's style pop, but I'm not sure.. |

lo,
Hubbard 'borrowed' a lot from Ryuichi Sakamoto and David Sylvian - "Forbidden Colors" for IK+. Dunno if that is the song your are referring to since there could be more sources :)

I could mail but it would be useless, on the discussion board of that radio channel (groovefm.fi) theres already questions like that even with exact times when some certain songs have been playing without any kind of answer..

IK and I-Ball tunes were heavily "inspired" by some tunes by "cabaret voltaire". (eg the baseline from IK is a rip basically =D) i think STIL mentiones which tunes in particular.
also checkout some best-of compilation from the "yellow magic orchestra (ymo)" to hear quite a few very familiar patterns (galway, hubbard, whittaker.... they all listened to them appearently =D) |

Synergy seems to have been a big source of inspiration as well. |

Finally I know what it is :)
Wee people - Stay True
but now I'm puzzled when doing google searchs with this information... Wee People seems to be finnish band, with not much information online, atleast not with the exact track information.
So either Hubbard made the original and wee people ripped him off or both of them are covering same old piece.

Ok, I got contact with the band and it seems that Hubbard's piece is the original one after all :)
So I guess puzzle is solved this time :) |
