Are we talking about CRT monitors/screen/televisions or are we talking about programs to program in machine code?
Also, the value 'best' is rather subjective.
What works best for you?
What features do you like? |

My favourite is the 1084S, because it has so many connectors.
You can connect almost anything that produces a video signal. |

I use C=1901, which is the best in contrast and color IMHO. Also fits well with its design for the real breadbin.
For guests, I attach a control-video-monitor from the german railroad company 'Deutsche Bahn', which is a "Plettac BGC 63 LR" 100Hz monitor. It's very cool for interlaced graphics. |

I have several 1084S. Nothing beats them, except their own flybacks :( |

What I dislike most about the 1084S is the powerswitch: it's on the back and rather bulky.
What I like least about the 1802, which I also own, is the hatch on the front. It tends to break off or at least the locking latch is a let-down (pun intended). |
