Game credits in crack entry??!?!?!??!?!

Some people enter the credits for the game (code, graphics, music) when they enter a crack of it, in my eyes that's mighty stupid, so if you had 10 different cracks of one game, you had the game 10 times credited...

Cracks should contain credits to cracker, trainer, fixing etc. and also intro credits, but how these should be included properly is another topic.

Usually you should add game credits to entries of original games, but as common sense seems to be 'only scene-related stuff'.. forget it, except for scene-related public domain releases.

Whatever.. I would add everything concerning C=ommodore but that is another topic again...

I agree. I have come across a few games with the game producers credits along with the crackers credits. If it's a crack I just remove the game credits as they don't belong in a crack. No matter if it's not a commercial game. If if it's a scene releated game then It should have it's own entry.

He said "crack entry" =)

Anyways, I agree with that. It has nothing to do with this database.
Last week I've deleted an entry of Lemmings with game-credits and a downloadlink of the SCS*TRC release which was already in the Db O_o

ben: you created them as "demo group" too, so where are the demos? :) if it's a scene group which also made commercial games then it should stay, but the downloads in the game's entries should be replaced by "clean" (ie non cracked) versions.

Many of the 'big' games were done by (ex) sceners, shouldn't they be in csdb as well then?

And if the EB games don't belong here, why should the group itself be?

Yep, I've found quite a few entries like this and "fixed them up" ... snip snip.
