Vice problem on mac os x

Mac users:
Do You experience problems with mouse emulation under Vice and directions of the pointer? Seams like Y axis is reversed. I mean when You move mouse up pointer (for example in Amica Paint) goes down and vice versa.
Is it config problem?
Checked with different version of Vice and different version of Mac (Intel). The problem cause might be different position of point 0,0 on Mac os X windows. It's not in left-up corner but in left down.

Any solutions? Is it known bug?

Dunno about this, but I hope you are using the Cocoa version and not the X Windows version, right?

The current Cocoa build snapshots are available here:

I Use COCOA version of course. I'll give a try to build you pointed me to.

Update:
Yeah. The same here. Tried PixelPerfect with mouse emulation. when I move up cursor goes down and the other way around too.

Might want to post it in the macvice thread on lallafa's forum:

Hmm.. I can't seem to change the sample output rate to anything above 22.05kHz. The emulator crashes doing so. Tried to disable audio, change sample rate, enable audio.. same result!.. :(

Which build/version of VICE are you running?
Which OS version?
Are you using built-in audio hardware, or an external USB/Firewire device?

I used to have that (sample rate/crashing) problem using the "official" releases but since I'm using the snapshot builds it doesn't happen.

Out of interest, if you look at Settings->Resource Inspector, everything set up OK under the SID section?

Mouse Y problem is long time with us, even in the nightly builds. As for other problems, try reset default prefs or deleting the prefs file. It helped me couple of times.

mac windows (COCOA at least) have the y axis handled other way around as in windows. that's the case. but it's so obvious so i wonder nobody fixed it till now!

Had the same problem for a while. Simply uninstalled it and cleaned every directory or setting I could find on my harddisc and grabbed a new snapshot build from this site and it worked fine to set another sample-rate:

Just an additional hint on this:
Make sure you set the same samplerate in VICE as you've set in Audio/Midi-Setup of Mac OS X (/Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup.app).
IMHO it's not good to let an app select samplerate. The app should output using the system's samplerate.

I can inform you that y mouse pos is fixed in the trunk and can be downloaded from http://lallafa.de/files/vice/snapshots/.

FlickerFix is also implemented and there's no more FLIcker. ;)

How about turning your mouse sideways when you work with vice?
I'm gonna try this when i get back home :)

Hmm.. I think my Vice installation is rather fubar, cause the whole SID emulation sounds like crap!.. I'll try to uninstall it and wipe whatever files seems to be related..

I'll check the version stuff when I get home!..
