Soundtrack, game/demo.

Everyone, look into the back of your mind, was there a soundtrack in a game or demo that made you just load it up and leave it on for pure listening pleasure?

I just wanna say after Maniacs of Noise made the R-type Title track and LV1 music, i was spent!

Indeed, I remember there used to be a Wanderer crackintro with Hysteria by Fred Gray. Oh man, I could leave this on for hours just for the soundtrack! I think the cracktro was linked before Usagi Yojimbo, but I mostly turned off the C64 after I got tired of listening to the SID. :-)

The Maniacs of Noise didn't do the "R-Type" soundtrack, the titles tune is Chris Huelsbeck and level tunes converted by Ramiro Vaca.

Probably the all-time "load to listen" tune for me is the "Sanxion" loading music by Rob Hubbard, back in the days before i could extract the tunes i wanted to listen to... =-)

TRAP

It even had a small in-game demo to go with it. Tears in my eyes when I hear it. Plus one of the best demoparts ever uses it as well - you can't lose ;)

I remember the game Mr.Heli, whcihc had a great intro tune by Charles Deenen, also the game after the war with music by the same composer. Charles Deenen is my all time favourite!

TMR, im positive its Maniacs of Noise who did R-type, well at least it says that in the title screen. They must have had something to do with it if it says so there. Is there something shifty going on with that game?

Could it be you confuse it with Cybernoid? This is also one of my all-time favourites, and it was done by Jeroen Tel of Maniacs of Noise. 6:40 minutes of sheer exitement!

I guess I like too many old musix but some of my favourite are the myth title tune, rhaa lovely II (the "fusion" song) and the Title tune of Supremacy... I could go on and on and... guess you have the same problem :D
