So.. Secret Man is the creator of the eleet XBOX scene. Fine to see that old sceners are soooo active on new platforms. Maybe someone who finally can tell us how to find the magic key to produce signed XBE's. We all want to boot up your elite releases without using of socalled modchips. No serious. What the fuck do you want to tell us here? Nobody asked you for your xmas presents, esp. the XBOX you seem to have acquired during these days. It's so fine you could ftp Vice to your XBOX, fine that you found those nasty points you had to solder on the motherboard. Or maybe even that you could use the 007 Hack to flash your TSOP. Face the truth, you have re-released a game and claimed a first-release on it. Even re-cracked from ages ago. You supplied nothing worth at all.

Second: In the time you ruled (pah!) with Red Sector, groups like Arcade (quit and many members of them went to the PC) and Legend (went to PC) had quit a long time ago. So please spare your group comparings, you wannabee. And NO - The Hysteric guys didn't build TRSI, nor Red Sector. You simply got the allowing to open up a C64 section. Get the message from some ex.TRSI member here. And don't try to lecture anyone about scene history here, or we will start giving you lectures. What shall the leech of Indiana Jones 4 prove here? Get the facts straight. When your holy copy of Indiana Jones 4 (a total waste of time playing it anyway) was released, the groups you wanted to beat were already on other platforms. If you lecture me about visiting the Red Sector site (which is infact the Tristar & Red Sector Incorporated homepage - There is no Red Sector site.. - which IS NOT allowing the download of the Indiana Jones 4 game as you mentioned here), I am so free and lecture you about going to various NFO sites. You will probably find several NFO files which show that certain Arcade members and the entire group Legend were active on the PC. So big deal that you beat them while they furthermore cared about releasing majors like "Day of the tentacle" while you spent your parents money on getting a lame C64 conversion without any soul.
Coming to the matter of fact that you never saw me on US boards. You should have opened your eyes - while I don't see which personal item qualifies you more - knowing the facts or calling the US boards.
Last but not least: It is written "tits". You should know that as infact also your little low profile was hanging at your mothers chest. So neither I am a sucker, nor a loser. Just the person who is proving you wrong all the time.

When you got the allowness to crawl under the Red Sector-label on the C64 (actually, you got ruled by people on PC not knowing what was going on), Arcade has been dissolved already. Same goes for Legend and all major groups, where the members went PC then. There has been NO COMPETITION anymore and you might have had one or another release from Magic Disk. And I guess that even Spalters were faster then...
So when you started to call US-boards, people like Midfit or I have already quit the 64-scene. You are a newbee and can't be compared to any oldskooler like we are.
Now go back, bow down and get raped by big-daddy-PsychIbilly while you inhalate his latest drug-creation and you narc on the scene again when getting caught the second time.

Nothing wrong with moderation of the boards. It'll at least help weed out nonsense posts, repeated topics and make sure all posts are in the right areas and whatnot... though it should probably have varying degrees of moderation: the moderation rules for the CSDb feedback, bug report, entry discussions, etc. should be more strict than in the general discussion, productions, etc. areas.
After all... what would the C64 scene be without random shouting and personal greetings, right?

Sorry Hartmut,but Hysteric was one of the first group which was able to use the blue box.Hartmut learned it from us,bcoz we laughed as we heard that Hartmut was calling direct with the german telekom.So we took this little hartmut lamer and teached him some things about calling out with a blue box made by hysteric.That was the time as Radork build his first group called Afros.After some years he licked and fucked tyrees ass to join arcade.Poor Hartmut.Let us colect for him that he can buy his drugs and lipsticks.

I used my first coded bluebox in 1987 already when I still was in Beastie Boys, that has been proven by other sceners in the past. So sorry to let you know about it. And with the bluebox I coded while being in Arcade, the best bluebox ever for the C64 got published. Again by me. Another fact to face.
Btw, how come you still didn't grow up? When I left the scene in like 1993, you were about 4 years old. By now you must atleast be 14 or 15, so how come that in your case we can't see any progress of the growing?

While Tyree and I were in Arcade, we also had short visits in Illusion and Legend, but still returned to the force always kicking your ass: Arcade.

Go and download the Illusion-releases on here. In one of their scrollers Tyree and I got announced of our joining. A few days later, we left Illusion again at our own wish and they announced that in their scrollers again. They kept on playing a fair game like ususal and that's what they earned my and the sceners full respect for. Right before we went to Illusion, Tyree and I were in Genesis*Project (mainly for the fact that we got asked by Sorceress and Antichrist for it), but we left the same day again, as we didn't want to get into certain conflicts between several MC-callers. Right after Illusion, Tyree and I spent a few days in Legend after either Westbam or Tyree asked for joining. We left as soon as we got the next original and released it under Arcade again in order to keep the group kicking which we built and made to one of the best at that time. The nowerdays scene didn't learn about how to stick together and they didn't learn about how to play the game. We knew and we played the game in that way. As I said before, I hardly doubt that any of the big groups ever did that... As far as it goes for this, Legend *NEVER* recracked any game.
In case you want to continue this discussion on a re-release basis (you propably just mixed things up), I hardly doubt we won´t find a group that didn´t get into the situation that something like that happened. I can easily roll up some titles groups like Legend, Illusion, Fairlight, Talent, Dominators, Genesis*Project, Action etc. have accidentally re-released...
I cannot remember I ever blamed someone for not knowing 15000+ released games on the Commodore C64 so far by heart... So I am eager to see this list of 21 games asap...

Actually I still can't believe that somebody honestly expresses that Legend should have recracked. I mean let's check the fact which persons were behind that name. And regarding this you had atleast 100 years of cracking experience behind it. If you mix that with many successful attempts at removing protections where they came and not waiting to dupe a specific cracker's style and add it with the work most of the Legend dudes invested into tools, it's impossible. It's no secret that Anthrax and/or Westbam were no crackers in first place. They were suppliers. But if you regard which dudes often called themself 'crackers' at that time and were releasing pre-cracked original copies, I would say they had far more glance than a certain former Hysteric member and later Alpha Flight member. Guess who..
Well. Everybody can make his own opinion, just regard how often you saw 'cracked by the will of god' in one release, while it was meeting the quality standards of the name behind it. And guess who did these releases ...

And just to steal the words of the next caller concerning Midfit using the word 'pre-crack'... Let's make up an example:
The game TOKI from cartridge - if Hysteric would have released TOKI (what they didn't), they got the pre-crack then. They didn't know how to handle the cartridge, so it had to be tranfered to disk by somebody else and all they needed to do was to re-write the load-routines. Well, they couln_d even do that, but anyhow... Shithead used to be a great ripper, so after finally understanding other peoples routines, TOKI would have been on the next years warez-disk then. Comprende? |

For you it might be easy to "give up" the csdb if necessary, but then again you've only just become a member. Me, and a lot of other people, have been around here for quite some time, trying to build up the definitive sceners database. If you would help with that, cool, we sure could use your knowledge. If you don't and just want to hang around on the forum, that's also cool, I'm certain you've got some great stories to share.
But if all you're after is slagging down Secret Man and deliberately running the risk that he might delete data, just so you can make your point, why not take it somewhere else?
And please, don't compare this to terrorism, your life is not threatened, just your vanity. And if you do want to make that comparison, at least make sure to spell "Al Quida" right.

For your enlightment I would suggest you go and read http://www.cnn.com for example and learn that this terror group is being spelled differently around the planet (for example Al Quida, Al Qaida). All these ways of spelling this group can be found in numerous articles, in various languages, including english.
So next time you try to blame me for mispelling something you should first get your facts straight by reading something more decent (e.g. CNN) than Mickey & Donald...

However, I do admit that sometimes the discussions became kind of harsh. I think this is normal and might happen considering different points of views meet up to each other.
Flames of this kind have always been part of the pirate scene. I clearly want to point out that I do not tolerate jerks like The Secret Man either that are just up to spoil the functionality of the whole (great) idea of this forum.
But on the other hand, I have always been promoting free speech even if this leads into some arguement some people propably wouldn´t like. But that has to be accepted if it won´t exaggerate I guess.
But if it´s the decision of the Forum Staff on here that users have to be careful what they right or in which way they write in order to avoid censorship, it´s good bye from my side.
This is not the way things should be threatened I think. If threads like the ones Secret Man has mainly built up would take over hand, I´d totally agree but fact is that these kind of flames are only a very small part of the whole board, I cannot see any problems so far. Considering the fact that he spoils the database would lead me to the conclusion to kick him off the board and keep him kick banned.
I for myself have been Co-SysOp on some of the biggest US Boards (Second To None, Telephone Anarchy, Gates of Asgaard etc.) and I never censored, deleted or cut a conversation for such a childish reason up to now.

Sure it is. But if you think of banning Secret it's not so easy.
I have checked his logs, and he uses some different ip-ranges, so to block him would also potentially block a lot of other users, and if he REALLY wanted to he can always get around that ip-block.
Other ideas?
