LCP 2011 over

Just wanted to say thanks to all the LCP visitors for making it such a nice party!

There is some stuff in:
http://lcp.c64.org/files/2011-LCP/

...and if you have photos, recordings, or other LCP related stuff, don't hesitate to send me a PM so I can put it up in the LCP archive!

Great to hear you people seem as pleased with LCP 2011 as I am!

The TRIAD homepage at www.triad.se is updated with some stuff from the party, including a few pictures.

I had a great time too for sure! LFT's completely amazing chipophone concert should be mentioned too. Oh my...

...and yeah, the compo was MASSSIVE! If you ask me, I think it was right up there with the X compos, despite being only 1/3 of the number of visitors at X. :)

Finally, massive thanks to my fellow co-organizers for all the good+hard work!

From an organizer's point of view, everything went very smooth (except for the guy who tagged a toilet and the front door with dicks and "Stoffe was here!!!" — Man, what were you thinking!? That could have turned out quite expensive...) and we certainly won't hesitate to do more LCP parties in the future. After all, this was something like the twelfth LCP party (if the two BFP parties are counted too), so why would we stop now? ;) The question is only if we should do it every year, or continue the way it has been now for the last few years (by coincidence) so that we do LCP the years when there is no X, which means every second year. Dunno yet... We'll see! I can also recommend everyone to go to the party called "Datastorm". It is a great one for us fellow C64 nerds too.

Super party! Well organised as usual, and the competitions were great. Judging by my headache on saturday I am pretty sure I had fun on Friday night too. Excessively so perhaps, and I blame GP for forcing me to shot all that whiskey. ;) Anyways, very nice to meet all of you again! Hugs all around!

Most awesome party! Hey FTC, do it every year. I'm gonna cry if I have to wait 2 years for another gubbdata session in the dirty south.

Greets to everyone I talked with! Nice guys all around.

Ive been to all LCP parties except 1999 and 2001 and i have to say, this one is my favourite of them all. I always expect LCP to be really good, my favourite party, but this one was special. So many things were good about this party, the people, the place, the organizing, the atmosphere, and not to mention the compo which was pretty mindblowing. Even the sound and bigscreen was in top class this time. With no doubt one of the best c64 parties i ever attended, and ive been to quite a few great ones trough the years (check my csdb profile). Thanks so much for letting me be a retired/retarded visitor these days! If you keep on doing parties like this, i will not have to do one ever again. (: And then we have datastorm, which is also kickass! Two great c64 parties every year, man, i feel lucky to be a swedish (ex)scener. The future is bright blue my datafriends!

Are you sure you're an ex-scener, Jucke? Polly-tracker is just a few keyboard taps away, you know...!

Anyway, GREAT PARTY! Thanks for bringing the vibe to Lund, we need something to shake things up before the student invasion begins (40000 people going missing during the Summer, and suddenly, they are all over the town again).

Thanks! / Pex Mahoney tufvesson

@Jucke: Hey! Thanks!

@people in general: Makes me happy to hear that you enjoyed the LCP party! So.. look forward to more LCP parties, in one or two years (max).

Damn.. I am already longing to the next Datastorm. Need some more of the good ol' ultra-data. And then.. wasn't there some talk of a party named "Gubbdata" to be held in Sweden next year too? Details? Sounded interesting as well.

Party place was perfect (location, capacity).
Way better than the one in 2009.

Booker - 110 ppl. registered, 100 showed up.
And I have not seen anyone being kicked out off the party for not registering in advance.

Frantic: I'm the organizer of Gubbdata 2012 - the offspring of Isterparty. It will focus on C64 and southern Sweden/Denmark and will be held in Lund/Sweden for about 50 datagubbar (around Easter). More Info will come on http://www.gubbdata.se .

Isterparty did not have compos, but Gubbdata will!

Thanks everyone.

It was nice helping out with player bugs and also meeting up with former group members, taking photos and talking to some of you.

Further I would like to especially thank the polish scene people for being so generous with food and drinks. It was nice meeting you all.

Excellent! We'll be reserving a special Fairlight HQ in the south eastern corner of the party place.
