Rambo Revisited - results release phase

Starting this topic just to remind you about Rambo Revisited - voting phase (it will last at least a week, or until there is enough votesheets). As there is 51 entries in the compo, I've decided that enough should be at least 102 valid votesheets. Curently there are 50 valid votesheets collected just during today, so it's a great start.
As there is quite a lot of entries, I have added the possibility to remove unwanted entries, so you have it easier to order your favorites.

The voting system is quite full featured easy to use for voters and easy to set-up and reuse (displays results on-fly for admin) so I think anyone who is going to organize a compo in future, can use it. Maybe we could organise some intro compo, or demo compo in future too. Another SID compo even ;-)

Thanx. I wanted to make it easy for everyone to tame the huge ammount of entries. I'm glad it works.

Finally been able to submit my votes but internet connection on sailing boats is so god damn slow. Oh and I just see that apparently I just added the 102nd votesheet! Does that mean the voting's over or are you gonna stick to the deadline?

Thanx for nice feedback guys.
Yes the voting works naturally for latin character readers. Read from left to right, from top to bottom. Looking at results and single votesheets it seems everyone got how it works.
I'm sticking to the deadline, that's why I always write "reach minimum (102..".. not reach XYZ votes.
Meanwhile I need to remind the Jury to send me their ranks. And possibly give reasons/comments to the selected (10) entries, or compo as a whole.
final public vote results + comments, plus jury results will be published when I have all data collected.

FYI. Jury consists of 3 respectable and active members of C64 graphician society.

in consideration of the discussion that started all this, i hope that "happy lucky tipp (part ii)" will win :)
but i fear that something like "redhot-flea" wins and all the discussions will start all over again ... (nothing against carrion - i hope you get my point)
i guess the "easiest" way out of this trouble would be if the directory petscii would make first place ;)
edit: there is at least on person who already won - even without having to win this compo - by making it from first scene release to member of one of the "elite" scene groups of all times. romppainens stuff really kicked ass! :) |

I would say that thanx to this compo the scene won a new talent - Romppainen. And actually it was not a single case in this compo. ;-)

Received the last jury vote. Hooray!
Quite interesting trivia: one of the jurors used microsoft's online service for document editing/publishing, and other one used google docs for the same purpose. Never used any of them, but gave me strong feeling of living in future now, when reading the "word" documents online. |

so... whats gonna happen now? :) i think some ppl are still waiting for the results.
more than 50 ppl have put some effort into pixelling (well, some just a few minutes, some others a couple hours)... plus alot of ppl did spend their time on voting.
so it would finally be cool to have those results now. its not that we didnt wait for some time, having not enough patience ;-)
