C64 Xtras Collection for Xbox released

For those interested : I released the so called 'Xtras' pack for ViceX on Xbox.

Thanks for all tips and advice!

Info at Emuxtras.net

This pack consists of :

- 4295 Commodore 64 games ; 'Handpicked' , tested, and the best and / or latest versions from groups like Nostalgia and Remember. All Renamed & Unzipped (so high scores will work).
- Previews
- Scene-Demo Selection

- Boxart in High quality ; Remastered and Retouched

- Newly made Action and Title shots. (Existing ones were often in the wrong colors, missing borders or very simply very boring to look at).

- Manuals & Maps
- Game Info

- Game configurations! All games will load out-of-the-box , no messing around with drive settings etc. All games have their own unique controller settings! So 'Cybernoid' will have weapons mapped under the controller, 'Renegade' won't need the keyboard anymore etc. Of course heavy RPG's and text adventures will need an (xbox) keyboard. However certain RPGs or Arcade-FlightSims like 'Ace 2' or 'Infiltrator' DO have mappings!

Owe and, NO SEUCK games!

Yes it does. But it's quite easy to (soft) hack one yourself. No chip needed.

@ xIII/WOW Eventually yes. the 'Emuxtras' (be it C64, Amiga, Snes or other) are meant to be able to 'spill over' to other machines (pc, ps3, linux, Mac etc.) . It can already be used ofcourse, but won't have the Xbox (emulator) options, Configurations etc. at the moment.

Thought this was for the original Xbox, not the 360? If so, is there even any games to buy online these days?

It's for the first Xbox, still no real competition if it comes to emulation, especially with the 'Xtras' and all.

Yeah, but this emuextras is for the old xbox, not the 360.

Filenames using the comma sign will not transfer to the xbox:

Desert Dream (Chorus, Resource - 2007).zip
Error 23 90% (Resource, Dreams - 2006).zip
Void (Coma, Resource - 1997).zip
Wild Bunch, The (Focus,Horizon - 2006).zip

Directories from "game configurations" using the percentage sign was troublesome to transfer. But I managed doing it manually.

Don't worry about those. Comma's were not used, but there is still some 'garbage' left in the game configuration folder.

Personally I use WinSCP for transfers; VERY fast and clean in case of a lot of files like with the C64 Xtras. Never had problems with any transfer whatsoever.

Small preview of what it roughly looks like in HD mode (better 'trailer' coming soon).

I'm working on an update for this collection, and there this one game i can't seem to find anywhere, here or on gamebase ; it's called 'rescue 17' and is by Dutch publisher Radarsoft. I really like to include this one.

I'm able to find Boxart for it (for example here : http://awesome.commodore.me/c64/c64-boxart/?pagenumber=22&picsp.. ) , but no actual image. Anyone have this ?

thanks
