The old reset button in the C64 trick :-)
Hey all, tech question cummin up...
I installed a reset switch in my 64 yonks ago, but its the proper reset switch that sends a reset pulse everywhere, including the serial bus. When you're using a CMD-HD, resetting the drive get farken annoying as it resets the HD to the root directory on its default partition, every time.
I wanna install a second reset switch, the "user port pin 1 and 3" reset switch. At least this way I have the option of resetting the 64 without touching the serial bus.
Just wanted to ask whether this switch is harmful to the 64 in any way or is it all good? |
