Supersorter - how was it originally released?

Like a ton of other people, I used Supersorter II to catalog my disks 30 years ago.

While backing up and double-checking some of my old disks I recently found, I stumbled across SS again and started to wonder how it was released back in the day.

V2 is a German release. The titlebar says 1985, so it's too old for Magic Disk and the like. Neither 64'er nor HappyComputer or Input64 indices contain anything relevant.

Does anybody know a way to check magazine contents for the smaller publications (Run, Commodore Welt, CBM-Revue...)?

I can't remember any magazine adverts for Supersorter either. I doubt this was released commercially, anyway.
