Quote: Yep, it was supposed to be a joke (maybe a lame ass ball-sucking joke, but still a joke) - i was just acting like a guy whos entire world was C64. Ok, since noone catched it let me just spell it out for you all: black adder is a scener, falthy tower is a close match to tower power. Maybe someone who thinks tower power sux would call it that. Now i've ruined the joke. Hope you are all happy with what you've made me do now ;)
Æh....jamen bare du har det godt, sååå *G* ;-)
But anyway, the correct spelling is "Fawlty towers" |

Quote: The picture shows an identical house from another family. I hired the same architect, the same construction company and use the same blueprints, so my house will look just like that one.
The house in the picture has 300 square meters (3200 square feet) on 2 floors. But in mine the basement and the attic will be finished living space aswell for a total of 500 square meters (5500 square feet) on 4 floors.
So, that makes you a copycat then? ;) |

Quote: Hi peoples. How are you? I have to clean it. Im going to buy a vacume cleaner that I can ride so at least the work will be fun. You know, they have little robot vacume cleaners and they are cute. They vacume and when they are done they go back into their little house to recharge.
Hi Debbie, you might find it hard to, hmmr, err, "ride" a vacum cleaner ;-) Sucks a lot ;-)

Nah, not really. Real estate is just a good investment.
>Cartoons: Are they all from you on that site? Looks good
>but I just previewed the mainpage; more later...
Yes, those are my cartoons. They're paying for the house. ;o)
On Gaspirtz, I get this completely white and very *annoying* window that goes from the left of the screen and moves to center, hiding all the screenshots; is this normal? Ah, now it's disappeared, hurray! - firewall dont seem to wanna block that one (everything else blocks tho, which is nice coz there's a ton of pub.)
Hahahaha, there's a bunch of'em that are quite funny there ;-) ROTFL: Neighbors are looking - right on!!! LOVE the fluffy bird/fabric softener one, it's so cute ;-) Hahaha, I'm just browsing as I type this, nice one w/ the egg picking up the bunnies ;-) Hahaha (aliens in corn field) ok, enough, they're nearly all pretty funny, there's no point in listing'em all here ;-)
Questions:
I can see that it's the /site/ that's paying for the house (ie: all the pub/links) - how does it work, you get paid for referals ? How many hits you get per day ? And how many of these nice cartoons do you draw, one a week (btw you're pretty good w/ a brush!!!) ? What do you draw with (software-wise) ? How long have you been doing this, did you do pics on C64 ?
Is there like a mailing list or something we can sing on to receive your cartoons as you put them up?
Oh dear, it's 6am again ;-)
I'll leech the zips later ;-)
Nice work man!

Thanks Booze! I'm glad you like them. :-)
>how does it work, you get paid for referals ?
The same way as a TV station. You know, you can watch shows on TV for free, but the TV station makes money by selling commercial spots to companies. I do the same thing on my site. People can see my cartoons for free, and I make money by displaying advertising/commercials on my site.
>How many hits you get per day ?
I get a total of about 100,000 unique visitors per day, or about 500,000 pageviews per day.
>And how many of these nice cartoons do you draw, one a week
I haven't drawn a new cartoon in 4 years. I used to work for a newspaper. First they published my cartoons in the paper. Then they asked me to design some ads for clients. Then they hired me full-time as ad designer. Then they promoted me to production manager. (Kind of like the editor in chief, but the editor in chief is responsible for the text in a newspaper, while the production manager is responsible for the layout, the printing process, etc.)
That job was a lot of stress. At the same time, I continued to draw cartoons in my spare time. And I started a little website. I put my cartoons on the site, and started to earn some money with the site. Soon I made more money with the website than with my newspaper job.
In May 2000, I quit my newspaper job. At that point I already had a few hundred cartoons, so I made a rotation on my site, that shows a different cartoon every day. When it reaches the last cartoon, it simply starts with the first cartoon again. I haven't drawn a new cartoon since May 2000. Well, every now and then I color one of my old black and white cartoons.
>(btw you're pretty good w/ a brush!!!) ?
Thanks. :o)
>What do you draw with (software-wise) ?
I draw on paper, then scan it in, and then colorize it in Photoshop.
>How long have you been doing this, did you do pics on C64 ?
I've drawn silly pictures all my life. My teachers in school always yelled at me because I drew on the tables. ;-)
When I moved to the states 13 years ago, I had to wait for my work permit. Without legal papers, I was not allowed to get a job. So I had a lot of free time, and eventually I started to doodle around.
The Sorceress saw a picture I drew of a knight fighting a dragon, and she said I should draw more. Eventually it dawned on me that this might be a good way to make money. After all, if Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny can make a lot of money, maybe I can, too.
So I started to send cartoons to some big publishing houses and national magazines. Eventually my cartoons ended up in a few books, and in most major magazines, like the National Enquirer, SUN, Saturday Evening Post, etc.
I made some money with that, and the books, but I never knew how much money I would make next month. Some months I made a lot, other months I made nothing. So when one of the newspapers that published my cartoons offered me a job in their advertising department, I took it.
I worked there for about 4 years, until May 2000. That's when I quit because my cartoons made more than my regular day job.
Since 2000, I basically live like I'm retired. I sleep until noon, and a I travel a lot.

Aaah, I looked at your (Antichrist) profile the other day since I was almost 100% we used to swap back in the days. The profile said you lived is USA and it got me a little confused. Is my memory realy that bad? But apperently it isn't since you moved to USA a while back.
If my memory isn't to fucked up, I think I still have some of your floppycovers stored among all my other c64 releated stuff...
