C64 Software on SF Internet Archive (archive.org)
Was rather surprised when my wife pointed me at an article in our local print newspaper, stating that San Francisco Internet Archive offers about 9,000 games plus other C64 software for free download or playing in browser.
No idea if this is legal :D nor do I know if it really offers more than CSDb and all those games sites we already know for years. Anyway, I've just checked a few, they even seem to be originals.
Here are two German online articles about it

http://www.fnp.de/ratgeber/netzwelt/C64-Spiele-bereichern-das-I..
Here's one in English

And here's the links to the C64 libraries on archive.org

and I guess they neither asked VICE team nor the copyright owners of the games for permission, hehe, not that I care |

oh we worked with them (and still do) - but of course usual fuck off attitude applies towards copyright holders. thank god :) |
