Google April Fools Joke - which song
I just seen a video from Google with their latest April Fools joke, Google Tulip. Around 0:37 you see the oscilloscope output of 4 waveforms, of which the 2nd channel switches from sawtooth to pulse and the 4th channel looks like a digitized sample. I was wondering whether they took the sound of a SID song and if so, which one? Can one of you recognize which tune just by solely looking at the waveforms shown in the video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsPQvZm_rgM |

I'm almost certain those clips are from the youtube-user Rolf R Bakke. I have no idea which ones but since it alternates between 3 and 4 channel scopes it's for sure more than one. |

I got that far as well, but having listened to Tetris, Turbo Outrun and Stormlord I have not found yet the one that matches the criteria of having a sine wave in channel one, pulse waves in 2 and 3 of which 2 differs between sawtooth and pulse. |

Just realised there are a lot of other similar videos too. It does look like both channel 1 and 4 in one of those consists of samples, which mean it may not necessarily be C64. |

For some reason, channel 1 looks like channel 4. No clue what that could mean. I also wondered what those songs are - there is another one around 0:49 (I thought it was Street Wise because of the filter bass on channel 1, but no, it isn't, I still feel like I should know it) and a third one in the end somewhere. And hey, there's even another one right before that one at 0:37 I just found. |
