Let's Play Lunar Blitz
Dear C64 folks/CSDb scene,
Over at Plus/4 World, we started a little initiative called "Let's Play" a while back. Each week, we pick a game and we encourage everyone to spend a couple of minutes over the weekend, open up the game, play a round or two and optionally submit their score to our Hall of Fame. There are no prizes, it's just for fun, and to spread awareness to our little corner of computing and to the games themselves.
This weekend, in memory of TMR who recently passed away, we're playing one of his Commodore Plus/4 games: Lunar Blitz. We're making an exception, and we'll accept any scores submitted from the C64 version of this game as well, since the two versions are virtually identical.
If you find yourself with a few minutes of free time, perhaps opening up Lunar Blitz and playing a few rounds is a good way to honour his memory.
TMR left behind really good quality Plus/4 stuff. I personally chatted with him many years ago, we exchanged several emails (e.g. when he contributed to our CD5 megademo). I wrote him a few lines of encouragement for MD202006, and - like everyone else - I was rooting for his recovery hard. I was very sad to hear about his suffering and his passing.
(If anyone has comments about this, please drop me an email or post on the P4W forums - open to everyone without the need for registration.)
Best regards,
