Emulator for Mac?
Got an Imac with Monterey (12.4) on it. No chance I can run Vice or something similar good on it? |

That actually worked. I'm running vice-sdl2-3.5 now :D
Thanks, Groepaz! |

Is there something wrong with the official VICE 3.6.1 macOS releases at https://vice-emu.sourceforge.io ? I would certainly recommend these over any VICE 3.5 build.
Also, a few days ago I uploaded some 3.6.2-dev macOS builds at https://sourceforge.net/projects/vice-emu/files/experimental%20.. that contain everything we've fixed since 3.6.1. |

Nothing wrong at all, dqh. Vice just didn't work on my Mac until I ran that Homebrew thing. Then I probably downloaded and older version by mistake. |

If you needed to install brew to get the DMG version working there is indeed something quite wrong. Perhaps those experimental 3.5 builds weren’t completely decoupled from the build environment.
To be clear - the intent is that the latest DMG builds work without needing to install any other software. |

I guess I should have mentioned in my first post that I first attempted to download Vice from here: https://vice-emu.sourceforge.io/
When I couldn't get it to work I made a post here. |

Actually... no. To me "Imac" means the PPC fishtank computers. Didnt know they still use that name. |

I see. No, they use it for every "all in one" model and the PPC couldn't run the current OS, which OP mentioned. |
