This is the legendary party where Karl XII's foot suddenly grew into humongous proportions and they had to cut his shoe off.

Quote: the finnish sceners seem to be number one at partying nowadays. puking, shitting on the floor, homosexual oral activities in public...damn we got a lot to learn from them.

So that's what considered good party activities?

Silly me thinking that good demo party activities is meeting and talking to people who share your rather unusual interest (demos), coding, watching demo-compos etc.

Nah, acting like fucking degenerate pigs - now THAT's partying..

Nowhere did I question your right to an opinion. I merely offered another look on what party behaviour should be all about. It was infact you that made the bold statement that 'We' (which in the context I interpreted as the demo/C64-scene) had a lot to learn from finnish people acting like they should belong in an asylum.

but if i said we, that must include myself aswell, and if i got alot to learn from the finnish scene, then i cant be totally degenerated yet and proabbly already know how to talk with other people. but thanks for the innovative idea anyway. i do however still think its more fun to be able to share memories like 'do you remember that party when nn got so drunk and stoned that he wet his pants?' rather than 'do you remember that party when nn told us that he likes roastbeef?'

Karl XII's swollen foot had little to do with computing and more, shall we say, to do with his big bag full off assorted beer bottles that we were invited to share and try. And then we left him alone with lots of unfinished bottles, as he realised alcohol wasn't allowed into the party place. So he drank them. Oh, he didn't sleep much either, btw. Like nothing in a couple of days or so. Go figure...
