The importance of adding all info..

To have at least a small chance to sort out all duplicates within the database it's important to enter all available info when creating new sceners. Old PLK- & phone-numbers f.ex. can be very useful when tracing a person's different handles & groups.
Whenever I stumble upon contact-information I always check if it's entered here & if it's not I enter it. I've managed to link several different handles to one person & remove lots of duplicates by doing this.
F.ex. it was thanks to an old phonenumber that I managed to find out that Brian/ACC/TFD/Trianon was actually the well-known musician Mike/FAME!

I hope you can see the importance in doing this & ask all of you to follow this example to make it easier to build a correct database.

Cheers!
Johan

Good point Johan, but somehow we need to be able to add several addies to a person, as one tends to move (I moved about 6 times since I started in the scene, 4 of those addies are probably mentioned in a demo).

Absolutely. It also has to be easier to connect duplicate handles to a scener (merge). Hopefully v2 will have a better structure (& be ready soon :))

Didn't know that this Brian was Mike / Fame. That is definately news to me. Have the tunes from Brian been ripped for the HVSC?

This is a nice find Johan. I'm taking a look and will of course check if there are any tunes in HVSC already.

Ok, I went through all the stuff where Brian got the credits for the music.

"After Party Demo" contains a tune called "Ode to Rob". This is not in HVSC. Ripped.
"Chemical Warfare" is a Ben Daglish tune, so the credit is wrong.
"Demo of the Year '87" - tunes are in the HVSC as /DEMOS/Universe.sid and /DEMOS/Universe_part_2.sid
"Intro Collection II" - /FAME/Hendriks_Michael/Sphinx_2.sid. You can also find /FAME/Knipping_Holger/Tell_It_To_My_Heart.sid in there.
