Separate Game/Cracks from every thing else
here on CSDb they should separate games/cracks from everything else. When i hit lastest releases i have to skip though all the game stuff.Cracks, re cracks, it does not interest me so much. |

I'd rather like a system with a gametitle as an umbrella and versions sorted out under it. I'd also like the handling of importgroups to be entered in another way. A possible entry for special info on the crack, so that you don't have to see that in the title, like amount of trainers, 100%, 101%, firstrelease and so on. Would like to be getting this after a search:
Vendetta, 1990, System 3.
Programmer: Stan Schembri
Musician: Matt Gray
(Link to Gamebase64 or other external source)
(Search at Pokefinder)
Versions on CSDb:
Vendetta by Genesis Project
Vendetta by Best Cracking Team, Chaos
Vendetta by Extacy, Rival
Vendetta by Ikari+Talent (International Network of Chaos)
Vendetta by Fairlight
Vendetta by Censor Design |

what Twoflower suggested would be very nice indeed. I am all for it. |

But the game itself isn't a scene release, so there shouldn't be any information about it really? |

I like to keep up with seeing the lastest demo, graphic and audio releases, but all too often i see them lost in a sea of cracks/re-cracks :(
There could be a 3rd division to. The 3rd division would house files that cannot be run on a C64 (scanned disk covers, PC graphic converters, documents and other such items).

No, the game itself isn't a scene-release, but would act as the umbrella keeping together and sorting the scenereleases of the same title. I'd say that f.ex Vendetta is a scene-release when there exists 5+ versions of it on the CSDb. |

Yeah I'm just trying to gauge the current level of purism here. :) Name only of course wouldn't be too much information, releaseyear and maybe publisher OK too, but coder/graphician/musician might be pushing it... |

Quote: so if they were part of the scene an option to filter them out is not possible? I like the idea, as I am not much interested in the cracking scene either.
I like it too, as I'm interested about cracking scene and not about the demos ;-) |

Also, on a side note. On the main CSDb page listed under Users Online it list users on line. If i were to click onto one of the users online, opposed to taking me to the users info page, CSDb takes to a page listing various Users. If Joe of WD was online and i click Joe, a page filled with many Joe's would appear. This makes little or no sense to me. |
