Double entries
I just went through a lot of my .d64-files and I found a lot of interesting stuff (mostly cracks) that I didn't see in here. But soon I found out that some of the entries seems to be double: Sure the same groups might have cracked the same game twice but three times?!
I'm not blaming anyone for this, but it just shows that you have to be careful not to add releases that's already here. Like I found a Triad crack (Ball Fever) that didn't seem to be in the database, so I did a search for "ball fever" and looked through Triad's releases, and didn't find it, so I'll add it soon. Sure it's getting harder if you have tons of stuff to upload and the problem is of course if people then quit uploading... that's not what I want! What I'll do is to keep an eye at the releases of Heartbeat and TCD (the two groups that I maintain).
Another thing: Strange to see groups like Vagabonds, who released a lot back in the 90's but where there hasn't been many releases uploaded. Erhm.. guess I better see if there's something hidden in my collection.
Regards from Freddie

Quote:When in the legal mode, you will never see any cracks, or links to cracks or get search results to cracks, and the other way around, when in illegal mode you will ONLY get cracks.
...and if you dont have a proper account, you can't ever use the illegal mode. i like this, keeps the leeches away =) |

It's quite a good idea, something which could make the structure clearer. I still believe that the crackentries should be sorted out in a better way, so that you don't have to write "Overlord +2FX" in the titledescription. Amount of trainers, firstrelease, 100%/101% versions and NTSC/PAL-fixes should be flags which you could set if you choose the crack cathegory. |

I'll build a Perff-oltar in my workroom and bring animal sacrifices every day if you implement that!
Hail the evil grand wizard Perff, we're not worthy! \:D/ _.._ \:D/ _.._

Implemented - at least some of it.
Notice the little extra text in the little top bar, and try to hit the "Normal" text.
Guess there is still a LOT to do, but we need to start somewhere.
I plan on making a usersetting under the userpage which says the same + a "dis/enable info in top bar about viewing mode" or whatever I should call it. |

Great stuff, now the game label just have to be removed from the demo mode and that would make all demo collectors happy I'm sure. |

So games are neither Demo scene or Cracker scene?
Guess some of you are now saying: "Hey, where did it go? The little "CSDb view mode"-text?"
Well. I finished the user setting, and added the option for not displaying this option in the top at all, which is default.
So if you want it back, go to your user-settings, and click the check-box. :) |
