Crackergroups in TOP GROUPS

Hmm, I always thought that this is a demo-scene based DB, but then I took a look at the Top Groups and found Ikari, Talent, Eaglesoft or Remember among it... Strange, since I never saw a demo from them...

And don't forget the magazine editors, they also played a big role (pun intended)!

dont forget to vote for the best postman as they played a very big role back in the earlier days. (and NO I don't mean JCH now).

what about the best phonecompany? Sprint? mci ? at&t ?

best coffee ? best coke ? best shit paper....

guess that should be enough though....

hence the truth

is there a cracker-scene today anyway?
i thought the cracker scene died. and there isn't so much around to crack...maybe only jokes as what i see here in this discussion ;-)

i admit with cmr that the cracker scene played a big role and made the scene as what it is today. but in the scene is a lot of variation and creation like demos, music, graphics, tools, samples, mailtrading, parties, discmagazines etc.... whats the cracker scene today?

could anyine tell me that?

the "real" crackerscene (hmm, maybe the wrong word) is done by the re-doing of old games (or grab never released oldies)mainly, as you have to show abilities you don't need on nowadays releases.
Groups like e.g. Nostalgia, Remember, Mr. Fox and Onslaught-Antiques and maybe Triad counts in here too.

The "scene" of doing new games is not comparable to the past anyways. It is dead an burried.

Not that there aren't any games todays but they aren't protected etc, so everyone can do them, there is no need for real cracking abilities.

It is not meant to dishonour the persons/groups that still release stuff but time changed and still is changing...
