SX-64 power q
Yo!
Does anybody know how much juice the SX-64 takes?
I am trying to find a voltage converter for it (mine is NTSC/110V) and I don't want to buy an industrial-strength, expensive converter, just one that does the job right!
Any help apreciated :) |

The power rating should be written on the machine
itself. Its a number followed by the letter W.
Get a converter thats atleast the number u find,
probably better to add around 50W for safety.
And a friendly warning: DO NOT get an in-wall type
converter! they're not intended for this type of
equipment & will probably damage your SX64. |

I used to have a heavy one but I didn;t bring it because of its weight. Can't travel with heavy garbage!
Do you think the internal PSU could be replaced? I bet it also makes the SX64 a lot lighter, but since you also have to power a TV devce, I guess it's pretty complex and your run of the mill AT or ATX power supply just won't cut it :(
I didn't notice it had the power consumption in the back, cheers for the heads up! |

Hey guys,
I still wonder what kind of PSU is inside this beast and if you think it could be replaced by an ATX PSU.
I got a pretty cool idea for a mod that will reduce the machine's weight, so I need to know this data. I think I read somewhere about connecting a C64 to an AT or ATX PSU, but what about the 9V line?
Any help , greatly apreciated! |
