VICE 2.1 font bug
When copying down from ROM, the CBM charset, to RAM - VICE 2.1 consistently makes bugs in the space char, and from space to end, in all chars on next line, when placed on a matrix so you have all normal chars, then all inverted.
See pic (the area marked with yellow)
I tried many things, my copy routine is straight forward lda d000,x sta 2000,x - it destroys those chars every time.
its not the font editor that does it, coz after transfer, when poking d018,$18 - the bugged space char appears.

i cannot reproduce this, and i also noticed the bug appears every 32th char, in the first line, so it must have been a wrong bne in the copy routine i made.
now go laugh at me :) |

Funny you approach this as a bug in Vice at first and not as a bug in your own routine... ;-) |

This totally reminds me of string theorists ;-)
Whenever their insane ideas completely fail to describe the data: "how reliable is the data?"...
hehe

I usually blame my bugs on heat related problems. |
