C-Net DS2 possibly releasing to Public Domain
Just got off an email with Jim Selleck. He has the original source code to DS2 tucked away on an Amiga formatted SCSI drive but he has no means to get this source code off. He tells me if he can find a way to get the data off that drive, he will release DS-2 source code without the dongle check to the Public Domain.
Anyone have any advice in this area, let me know! I'll pass the word |

Get hold of an scsi-equipped amiga? Or someone with an amiga, to do the transfers for him?
Or is there any emulators that will mount the drive on a pc? |

Do a raw dump of the drive contents to a file. e.g PC with SCSI and linux "dd if=/dev/sda of=file.adf".
Then you can extract the contents with unadf, ADF opus, or boot it in UAE.
I wrote a short summary on how I did it (which may be somewhat obsolete): here. |

DS2 was quite possibly the most advanced C-net BBS system ever...
