Demos with Kernal Loader on MMC Replay
Has somebody tested out some old kernal loader multipart demos with the MMC Replay? Please tell me about your experience. |

AFAIK MMC replay has no 1541 emu, so it cannot load anything. ? |

You don't need 1541 emulation to support kernel loading. The device "simply" must implement the kernel loading interface and set the correct vector hooks.

Not directly related with multiloads releases but keep in mind that you can not "load/excute" files with load address below $400 from MMC Browser I believe . You need to mount disk image first and load it from BASIC. This makes impossible to load directly from the browser most autobooting files (if not all). Didn't bother to check if BOOT option on 128s works with mounted image (probably not I suspect) - anyway in case of demos this is not a big deal at all since I don't recall demo requiring it. |

I just thought, before i try something, which has someone already done before, i better post into this forum. I thought, that we could find some examples of working demos instead of non working ones. I know, that trackloaders, fastloaders, irq loaders are not working with MMC Replay. An example for a kernal loading game, which works without any tricks on the MMC Replay is HESgames. This should also hold for demos with kernal loader. Having all those old demos on the card ready to start, would'nt it be nice? |

Ok, Parapsykolog tested. Works with dfi plugin in kernal mode. With dfi plugin in dreamload mode and d64 mounter it does not work.
