Stack of old discs...

Hello all,

I joined the site a while back with a view to hopefully contributing some demo's and so on to the community...

Long story short, I have obtained I would guess several hundred C64 disks of a mixture of cracked games, and demos, which used to belong to a member of a cracking/demo group. I started going through the disks, but shortly after, my 1541 II started playing up most of the time, and I can now barely ever get it to read a disk.

I couldn't really say if there is anything unusual or not already available. However it seems a shame for these disks to be sat around gathering dust and no doubt slowly degrading when there might be something interesting on them. If you know of anybody (preferably in the UK) that would like to go through the disks and copy anything interesting then I would be happy to send them.

Alternatively if you know of anyone that might be able to fix my drive then I would be able to gradually go through the disks. I have an IDE64 so I can transfer stuff to PC. Drives seem to be so rare/expensive that I don't really want to have to buy another one...
