James,
The current music in my version is actually one of the tunes from Thrustburst (you know that the tunes from Thurstburst are actually in goattracker format?). I agree that this tune fits the action quite well. However, I have not been able to contact Ghormak to ask if he's ok with using this tune...
Regarding the size of the boxes. I also saw that the objects seem to be somewhat large in my version, however I converted the objects pixel by pixel. It seems the objects have a different scaling then...

Only the first hallway has a lower ceiling, the others are much higher to make jumping into them as easy or as hard as in the original. Also the heights are randomized, like everything else.
I didn't add the jet, the falling buildings and the big billboard. I pixelled the crane to run on, but didn't put it in yet.
I've also added the parallax girders in the foreground.
My version doesn't work on NTSC, there's just not enough rastertime left to make it work. Would need some serious optimization and fixing work. |

Thrustburst! Of course - I thought I recognised that track :)
Ghormak you say?
Hehe - well lucky for you Paul, I know his mate ptoing very well (who also worked on Thrustburst). I'll send him a message tonight and get him in touch with you. Ammusingly, I've already sent ptoing a link to the video so he may know already!
Mr SID - thanks for the info man. I think the falling buildings are important to add. I always hated those bombs that turn you into a fine mist from the original - very hard to avoid on the original, and probably impossible to jump over on the C64's narrower screen!
The jet is worth adding to give the player a sense of progress (doesn't it fly across the screen every 500 or 1000 meters or something?)
I still stand by my guns that a NTSC version is worth pushing for. Adam's very interested in this conversion, and it would be great if it was available for the NTSC market. |

Cool. :)
I'm probably gonna release my version a bit earlier than that. Not trying to steal your thunder or anything. It was really planned for April this year, but the music delayed it so much that I decided to continue work on PoP. Just want to get it out now... |

Uhm, so you really need a conversion or would an original soundtrack do? ;) |
