Demoscene week at Rhizome.com

http://www.rhizome.com
Rhizome supports the creation, presentation, and preservation of contemporary art that uses new technologies in significant ways. Read more about us.

All this week we're focusing on the demoscene here on Rhizome. We've recruited a number of guest writers to cover multiple aspects of the scene -- from demos made on the MSX computer to diskmags and more. We're starting it off with an overview provided by Antti Silvast and Markku Reunanen of Demoscene Research.

The articles sofar:
Demoscene Week!
The Demoscene -- an Overview
Demo Effects in a Nutshell
A Micro History of Demoscene Music (by Goto80!)
MSX Demoscene

More will follow this week. I'm quite excited about this!

I'm also exited about it. Quite a change from the new media art articles they usually present (not really, if you consider how some artist work in comparison to various sceners) but about time, if you ask me.

Oh and It's http://www.rhizome.org/ :)
