AV output question
I've made a split cable for the A/V DIN connector in the C64. Sound output works fine but composite video only works if I also connect the RF out to the antenna input of the old tv I'm using. Does anyone know why this is happening? I used this info to make the cable: http://sta.c64.org/cbmmonc.html |

May I suggest you ask this question in the Help & Support forum of Lemon64?
Also, it helps if you describe what kind of input your television has.
It might well be that you just connected the AV cable to the audio-in of your TV.
Quite obvious that that won't produce any image... |

No, it's the right input. The tv has a scart input and I'm using a PSX style scart>RCA converter. I connect the composite out (pin 2 and 4 of the AV connector) to the composite in and it works, but only if the RF cable is also connected. If I pull one of the cables, the video output goes away. This really puzzles me but it's no big deal, I can live with it, I guess. :) Will look into the Lemon64 site. |

What was it? It sounds like you connected the grounding of the composite signal wrongly. (and by also attaching the RF, you made the ground connection) |
