Mobile phone & Emulators

Hi folks,

Please help Leon. He would like to install a c64 emulator on his Samsung GT-S5230 mobile, but all emulators are in JAD format which the phone doesnt seem to support. The phone is fine with JAR files tho. I found this on the net:"This phone is missing Thawte certificate so installing from JAD file will fail."

Any thoughts? I have no experience at all in doing this.

First of all JAD/JAR is java, so the emulator will likely be very slow (or incomplete).

Secondly - a JAD-file is just a text file with some metadata that refers to the JAR-file. A JAR-file is zip with all that is needed to run the program. Clicking on a JAD-file in a phone that can run J2ME should automatically install the JAR which it refers too.
