@rambones: why do you hate commercial stuff? if you don't want to use this system or pay for their products, simply don't (as others already said). but some people can find it useful.

I haven't heard about it until I read this topic. Being able to do all these stuff online via browser is not a bad idea. At least, it can be useful to create/upload your own utility disks to be able to reach anytime anywhere. It also says "compile and create PRG files from assembly code". When you are working on other computers which doesn't have any cross compiling tools etc, this can be nice to test something fast. Maybe with a better flash/java emulator in the future (vice port?) it can turn into a real development and test platform. why not?

and as for what he is trying to pull - he is selling some sort of "network card" for the c64. as simple as that.

This has been around for about eight months ... it's old news really. Originally everything was pay for access but they have changed that now...

If you don't like it, why make some stink about it?

As for the persons information, he is a known person by many and is involved with a group in Oregon USA that has monthly meetings.
