ALOT C64 stuff at eBay get sold!

Hi all,

alot C64 stuff hardware/software get sold at mostly higher price at eBay. I remember that I could buy at eBay around 8 years ago for much cheaper price C64 stuff. I know that I can get at a local flea market possible C64 stuff for a cheaper price, but I was at 4 different flea markets, there was not one C64. Maybe more luck next year. ^^

My point is, alot people buy the C64 stuff, everything I watched the past two weeks got sold between 20,- EUR up to 100,- EUR. The people that buy this C64 stuff are possible new sceners in the future? O.K. one reason is that current sceners buy new C64 hardware, but there get so many sold currently, that can not only be our C64 scene. What you guess why so many people buy currently C64 stuff?

@Exile I know you had a garage full of C64 hardware, when I was at the Primary Star 2004, you did show me your C64 stuff, if you want make some money, than is now the right time to sell stuff you don't need! :)

What I notice is that the hardware becomes less divided.
It is either thrown away or sold/given to someone who actually cares.
And people who care, want more money.

I sold quite some hardware again at X, but I don't do it to make profit in the first place.
Stuff in NL is cheaper than in most other countries, for me it's a way to help my fellow sceners to get some gear without having to pay too much.

I have all the c64's I need already, but still buy one now and then. Sometimes for a really nice, unmolested breadbox (I used to paint my c64's in wierd colours which, now, I think is a shame), sometimes for extra joysticks, an extra diskdrive, an extra cartridge, some funny accessories, some more old disks or whatever... It's nice to have a spare of everything, just in case :-)
Or f.i. like the last one I bought from german ebay was a very early breadbox from 1982, chipset is totally different and the f-keys are brown... had to have it :-) I'm a bit of a nerd I guess :-)

C64's sell on eBay for all kinds of different prices. Prices fluctuate from "rip off" to "bargain of the century". There are many people who buy them because they are sceners, fans or hardcore collectors. Prices fluctuate widly on eBay, depending on quality and condition. I wouldn't completely trust eBay as a guide for recommended pricing or level of demand ;)
