Mega Editor by Crowther
I'm looking for something like the Mega Editor by Tony Crowther. Especially the possibility to edit the nibble colour per character. |

I guess "metal war 4" editor in this case means aomedit.exe, that has color per char ability. bgedit3.exe (mw3 editor) should work as well. |

Cadaver: Yes, aomedit.exe, it works very well.
XrAyz: I've tried a Crowther editor, found it on ftp://c64.rulez.org/pub/c64/Tools/Graphics/misc/
I do not know if it's the same editor you're refering to, it's v2, and not 8 or so.. But that one cannot handle colour per char, allthough the editing of the map is not with blocks, something I'd prefer.
Then again, Cadaver's tool is on pc with a mouse, which is very easy to use.. It's memory friendly aswell.. |

Mixed up 2 editors: Crowther's editor, without nybble colour editing, and the Mastertronic's Graphics editor, WITH nybble colour editing. Anyone got that Mastertronic's editor on a D64? It can be recognised by the kewl big spaceship that's been included, well at least in one of the cracked versions. |

Nice. Maybe it can be uploaded at Arnold's or Scs-Trc ftp server.. A very good tool to do character based maps or sprites..
thanks in advance. |

Ooh, I have that Mastertronic editor as an original budget tape - never thought it was anything special so I haven't used it much. I also have an older Rabbit Software (?) graphics editor which was even worse. |

NP ;)
I have also the version I bought back in 1988 and cracked by an old mate of mine, but it has surely some modified text inside ("cracked by" etc, y'know) and I preferred to upload a cleaner version. |

Graphic Editor (I had Transcom version like Oswald) is my absolutely most favourite and most of the time used editor. I can't say anything else than just: I love it!!! |
