Armalyte cracked by HIC

Hey guys!

HVSC needs your help. The most requested SID tune on this planet is the tune from the crackintro of Armalyte, cracked by a group or cracker with the handle HIC.
If anyone happens to have this unfindable jewel lying around in your diskboxes I and about 10 other guys would be extremely pleased. :-)

I'll add a little info:
Cracker: Hic
Group: Quality
Tune covers S-Express (no, it's _not_ Jeroen Tel's version that we have in HVSC, and it's not in HVSC at all in fact.)

If it's Hic/X-Factor, you could try to mail one of the x-factor members.

I had this version, and IIRC it was rather an 'importer' and NOT a cracktro! Meaning that the game had 2 intros infront of it. The first one being the hic intro.I believe this version was probably spread only in hungary. (h.i.c. being a hungarian local lamer group). I wouldnt be suprized if they didnt even import the game, just put their intro infront of it for whatever reason.

btw started a little investigation, and there's only (?) 56 john almasi found in the phonebook for the whole country. (I have to add that ppl can cancel their number from being public) and one of the first hits says he is a computer advisor :) atmo I'm not in the mood to call up alien ppl :) and even if I can track him down, we still need him to have his old stuff.

anyone care to check what addy he spreaded in his demos ? if it was budapest we have a stronge chance that he became a computer adivsor :)

H.I.C. was not exactly a local lamer group, at least I knew of them when they existed, did some very cool demos at that time.

No point calling him. When I established contact with the Sidbusters (a Balazs guy - Burton, the programmer of AMP - who happened to live just in the next town) he asked Hic if he still had his disks. Unfortunately they ended their life cycle on the garbage dump... :-/

And in Renswoude, Holland!

(Ofcourse I was one of the first, if not the first, non-Hungarian contact of Mr.Wax back then, so I saw a lot of stuff others in the west might not have seen)

No...
We have a MP3 clip of it, and it's not in HVSC.
Might be Hic himself who made it.

It's a cover of S-Express (but not Jeroen Tel's version or any other in HVSC) It sounds like Future Composer.

When I asked Hic back in 2001 he said: "Didn't Jeroen Tel do S-Express?"

We want the tune because there was 2 tunes that started the "Big Sid Hunt" in the old days. This tune, and Ouwehand's "For Drive", which I found some years ago.

when i hear future composer i think it could be chris/beat machine who made it. on the other hand we in kraze had a composer called nov who also used future composer and also did some covers of chart hits.

on the other hand i don't really think that nov was the one who did it, as his music wasn't that wide spread. (btw: if someone has music by him, please contact me!!! i've lost some of the disks with his music --- he is also known as frank meyer/art-design or "noise of victory")

the reason for not finding the tune must be that it was done by hic or some other rare hungarian. imho.

Heh, I don't have this one, but I quite sure have that "99 Luftballons" tune you wrote about in The Big Sidhunt.

TF: 99 luftballons are removed from the sidhunt (Lala's pages are not updated.) It was /DEMOS/UNKNOWN/Master_Composer/Red_Balloons.sid

Thanks for checking anyway! :)

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but since you're mentioning a cover of S-Express, could it be this tune?
Theme from S-Express

No, that sounds like a copy of Jeroen's version. The one we are looking for sounds different.

btw, I don't think the wanted version will sneak into HVSC without anyone noticing :)

You're right.
I got a copy of the .ra from Ian (he re-encoded it to mp3), and it doesn't seem to resemble Jeroen's cover at all.
It's definately Future Composer.
