Treasure Island Dizzy Working Version

Does anyone out there know or have a working version of this game which doesn't crash when you go underwater?

Which versions have you tested? This is nice - if all versions feature this we have a third game which isn't properly cracked.

I think I used to play an Ikari+Talent version, but I might mix it up with some of the other Dizzy games?

I had a tape original that always crashed at this point. My friend later bought The Dizzy Collection where the game was playable all the way through. No idea if all the standalone releases were bugged, or if it was just a certain batch (until this moment I didn't actually realise it was more widespread than my copy!)

The version I played back in the day was 100% fine.
I do not remember which one that was. Ikari?
I think there are some videos on youtube with complete walkthroughs of this game.
So proper crack is out there for sure.

I've checked 3 other releases.
ASS and Triumwyrat [hungarian] work, CMM does not.

@r242: thanx for working versions. i really like oxygen bubbles you leave behind while you walk across screen. golden days of game coding :)

in the other hand, it just interests me that every bugged version crashes at same point. tricky! did first release group leave this bug behind and others just linked their intro and claimed that they cracked it?!?

Deev wrote above that his original tape had this bug so it was probably bugged on several original tapes. They just didn't notice that the game wasn't working properly before spreading their cracks.

I had similar problem with Infiltrator on tape. I bought a version that stopped at a certain point. I returned it to the shop and got a new version that worked just a bit longer. I returned that one as well and finally got a version that I could reach the end in. :)
