DEMO MAKER de LUXE by Digital Marketing
I'm still looking for the above mentioned disk and the expansion disk. All in all 4 disksides.
I once used to have this as an original, but when trying to convert the disks to d64 they had lots of read errors.
I'd be happy if someone dug this up from his collection as the popular ftps don't seem to have it either. |

Hi Steppe !
I know the searched programs, but it's simple why you can't
find them in the net. Because they copy-protected !
In the past you could buy them at Digital Marketing
as DMDL + DMDLE Disks together for 31,90 DM.
But now i can say you after my last 35 minutes call with
Dieter Mückter (the Digital Marketing Chief in the past)
that he throw all C-64 Stuff in the container.
That's all what I've to say now.

Sure, I know they were copy-protected. Of course I tried to copy them to my friends, being the only one with the originals around. I remember they had some stupid read-error on each of the first disksides. I tried removing the error with a disk-utility, but of course the program checked if it was there.
So you could say I really messed it up big time... :-(
The disks should still be fine, maybe someone is skillful enough to fix the disks by replacing the read errors?
Preferrably someone from Germany, that would be great! |

Steppe: Do the discs still work? If yes, have you ever tried copying/acrhiving them with Sixpack?
If you don't have Sixpack, get Alpha Flight's "Zip-Collection V2.0" from TDD (/c64/Tools/Archivers/zipcolv2.lnx.gz) or from Gangsta's Paradise (/c64/Tools/Archiver/Zip_Collection_V2_0.prg)
Good luck! |

No, haven't tried that yet. I copied them to d64 with the Star-Commander, but there were lots of read-errors on track 35. IIRC every sector of track 35 had a read-error.
But as I said, after removing the original error that served as copy protection the disks didn't work anymore. And of course I can't remember where the original read-error was and what kind of error it was.
Someone would have to check the code to recover the error and check if track 35 really contains program-data.
MacGyver, if I make six-packs of the disks, could I send them to you in order to check them? |

Ah, you removed the "Errors" on the original Disks - too bad.
I do not have the skills to examine the code to see for which "Error" the programs checks - ANYONE? |

You might want to ask graham, he cracked a lot of those protected digital-marketing proggies for his own use... so he might know how to remove the protection from that one aswell (maybe he already did it? ;))
also mailing markus widerstein (mws@radwar.com) might be a good idea, since he's supposed to have most of the old digital marketing stuff, including a bunch of unprotected master-copies. |

erglm...
I found it. You named the file "DD.zip" whereas your link points to "dd.zip".
Webservers are quite sensitive, sometimes they're even case sensitive... ;-)
And I'm sorry to say that this isn't the program I'm looking for. :-(
This one's called Deluxe Designer by Mystic Arts, the program I'm looking for is Demo Designer de Luxe by Digital Marketing.
Thanks anyway!
