Searching for Old Axle Production Demos and Games
Hi All,
I have been on the look out for some old Demos and Games that I created / put together for several years now. Every now and then I post to a few C64 related forums hoping that someone might have one or all of them.
Here is a list for those that are interested :
Under the name of : The Mighty Axle, Axle, Alex Aris or Axle Productions during the years 1988-1990
DEMO Music from Cybernoid
Contains Music extracted from Cybernoid with Text and ASCII Graphics.
DEMO Music from Triologic
Contains Music extracted from Triologics Expert Cartridge, Music was called Ode to Galway was composed by Red I believe.
GAME Biz or The Biz
Based on a modified version of Street Bomber - Programmed by Tony Rushbrook in October 1984 from Commodore Horizons. Contained multi-coloured Graphics, Music created on Ubiks Music, a High-Score Table and five Levels. Originally sent to Commodore Disk User, but was rejected because of a bug with distance of the Bomb from the Space Ship.
GAME Phantom - The Mission Remix
Created on the SEUCK ( contains slightly better Graphics and Gameplay )
GAME Tanx
Created on SEUCK, originally sent to Commodore Disk User, but was rejected due to some apparent glitches and collision detection problem.
These Demos and Games would have been sent across Europe and as far as Australia. If you have any of these in D64 format or even on 5.25"
If anyone has any of these, please let me know.
Thanks. |

So far I didn't find anything in our archive, perhaps
you have more info about how file names were and
what else was sent with it.
edit:
I found one of your games, Phantom, it's listed
at GB64.com.

But probably you know already about that one. |

The Mega Mix Demo looks suspiciously like something that I would have done way back in the late 1980's. A Basic program with Right Print String and multi-coloured boxes. I think I may have saved the basic program and music code from a Cartridge, so that both would have been included when loaded.
So, for now, I think we could well class this as one of mine, unless someone else remembers doing it ?
Thanks for the find. |

Update to my Website, which now includes Scans for missing Games : The Biz and Tanx. This adds proof they did exist and were sent to Commodore Disk User in 1988. I wonder if the Reviewers still have copies of the Disks ?
