Looking for: "Sellout demo", "On the Phone" demo
Hi All
I'm trying to find the .sid files for a couple of very old demos I had on the C64 way way back. Problem is, I only know the c64 filenames of the two demos and they don't seem to be in the database. Perhaps some guru remembers them?
1) "Sellout" - a demo produced by some composer as his last dash on the C64 before going to the amiga. The demo was a single page with a pile of raster effects, some with glitches, and a scroller where he described at length why. I remember a couple of quotes from the text- he said that if he had had more time he would have done split timing to get more than 8 sprites per raster (which is of course impossible), and he also said something about if we one day heard Amiga music with the {insert his name here} style, it might well be from him.
I don't really care about the demo, but the music was great.
2) "On the phone demo" - part II had it snowing and a large, smoothly animated walking blue creature with long legs.
Thanks for any pointers
Richard

I found these,
"Sellout /lords" 77 Blocks.
Just one screen. Not much rastereffects but lots of scrolls, one going backward and one forward. and at the bottom an upscroller. Scroll mentions "Reverb" selling out because he's going amiga.
"-on the phone " by Excell and Gandalf of Jewels. 3 parts, 122 blocks.
Intro: just a scroller with rasters.
part 1: vu-meters, jewels logo on top techteched, animated globe over starfield, scroller with rastereffects.
part 2: Koala-pic showing a cave and 4 dudes, figthing(?), sinus sprite scroll on top of that. at bottom a normal sideborder scroll.
drop a pm with your email and I send them..

!! FANTASTIC !!
The first one is definately the right one!!!.. Reverb is definately the composer's name.. I kept thinking "relax" or "remedy", but I knew that wasn't right.
I recognise the second demo from the sound of it, but I'm not sure if it's the one I'm after- I'll have a look
guess after 10 years my memory just ain't quite up to speed...
Thanks very much!!!!

Just had a memory flashback...
I think the second demo that I was originally thinking of has a part in it called "out of season".
